Move over gingerbread houses! Now home cooks are making charcuterie CHALETS – complete with pepperoni tiles, pretzel windows and a roof made from salami
Forget gingerbread houses, as meat lovers have now taken their skills up a notch to create lavish charcuterie chalets. Fans of Italian cuisine are drooling after images of the edible structures were shared on Instagram, with many dubbing the treat the ‘perfect’ option for Christmas gatherings. The remarkable creations are all different, but many feature a structure made from breadsticks and crackers laden with cream cheese and dips.

Many dubbed the meat treat the ‘perfect’ option for Christmas gatherings. One Instagram user wrote: ‘I am obsessed with these’.
The tiles on the roof are often made from slices of salami (pictured), while other cured meats are also used on the structure of the house.
Many have even gone as far as to grate Parmesan onto the chalets so that it looks like snow (pictured), while others have added an assortment of crudites in the ‘garden’ of their chalet.
Many were delighted by the charcuterie chalets (pictured) online and said they couldn’t wait to make them for themselves.
But not everyone was on board with the idea, with some dubbing the edible creations (pictured) a bit ‘gross’.
