Ice cream fans looking for a boozy treat will be delighted at the news that Häagen-Dazs is launching two limited edition autumn flavours with an alcoholic twist.

The ice cream giant is introducing two adults-only flavours as part of their Cosy Cocktail Collection – and just in time for London Cocktail Week.

Sweet-toothed fans will be able to dip into Rum Salted Caramel and Biscuit, and an Irish Whiskey and Chocolate Waffle flavour for £4.99 a tub.

However, it’s a case of get them while they’re freezing – these limited editions will only be available in supermarkets throughout October.

Autumn treat: Häagen-Dazs is introducing two adults-only flavours just for October, as part of their Cosy Cocktail Collection

The rum and whiskey flavoured ice-creams only contain less than 0.5 per cent alcohol in each tub ensuring you’re unlikely to get drunk from a tub – and are being marketed as a good choice for people seeking a low-alcohol treat.

The ice-creams are available in normal-sized tubs as well as smaller tubs as part of the Cosy Cocktail Collection box.

The Rum, Salted Caramel and Biscuit variety promises to be a comforting concoction marrying the sweetness and softness of caramel with the crunch of biscuit, with a generous taste of vanilla, say the makers.

Meanwhile, the Irish Whiskey and Chocolate option is equally indulgent, with its chunks of chocolate-coated waffles swirled in.

Both flavours will be available from all supermarkets around the UK next month.

This follows the success of the ice-cream’s giant Spirit Collection, which has been a hit since it was introduced in 2020.

This summer, ice-cream enthusiasts were able to enjoy Lime Mojito Sorbet and Piña Colada ice cream flavours.

The Spirit Collection also includes Bourbon Praline Pecan, Bourbon Vanilla Bean Truffle, Irish Cream Brownie, Rum Tres Leches, Stout Chocolate Pretzel Crunch, and non-dairy Amaretto Black Cherry Almond Toffee.

Last year, the brand also launched Rosé & Cream flavour in the US.

In 2020, the company also unveiled its new Heaven line, which includes four different flavours with a third fewer calories than regular ice cream. The collection has just 210 to 230 calories per serving, compared to up to 380 calories in its traditional flavors.
