Back in May, a new character made their debut in Albert Square, and ever since she’s been a making a big impact.

Yes Rose Ayling-Ellis joined the EastEnders cast as first ever deaf character Frankie Lewis, and she’s set to make waves in up-coming episodes as Mick discovers she’s been taking pictures of Ollie.

Frankie is seen snapping shots of Ollie and Mick during a kick about outside the pub and Mick finds out that she’s been taking the photos and becomes shocked and taken aback as a result.

For privacy reasons, he asks Frankie to delete the photos she’s taken and you’ll have to find out the rest by tuning in.

But just who is actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, and what do we know about her when the cameras aren’t rolling?

Rose Ayling-Ellis’ career

Before joining the EastEnders family back in May, Rose had starred in several other programmes including Casualty, as Bianca Sinclair, and Esther in Stephen Poliakoff’s drama Summer of Rockets.

She’s also popped up in The Vamps music video Middle of the Night and played Kattrin in Mother Courage at the Royal exchange Theatre in Manchester.

Rose shares the occasional snap of her boyfriend on her social media and recently shared a sweet tribute to him sat on a beach, while celebrating their anniversary.

She penned: “6 years we been together and I still don’t find you annoying,” followed by a love heart emoji.

It seems the sweet pair enjoy exploring together, and last year Rose shared a snap of them during a mountain trek.

She penned: “44km over four day trekking through the rainforest to find The Lost City that was discover in 1975.

"Sound straight forward? No it was TOUGH! I was bitten alive by mosquitoes.”

Does Rose Ayling-Ellis have social media?

Rose is active on both Twitter and Instagram and often shares little insights into her life away from ITV soap EastEnders.

The star writes in her Twitter bio that she’s “proudly deaf,” as well as sharing her TV programme suggestions.

Who is Frankie Lewis?

Frankie is a deaf character whose debut in to the soap saw her involved with Ben Mitchell’s storyline, as he started to lose what was left of his hearing following the Thames boat disaster.

Frankie is known as a cheeky character with a big sense of humour. She recently got herself a job at The Albert which frustrated Tina Carter who was hoping she’d land the position.
