Maverick is back, baby! Top Gun star Tom Cruise is reprising his role as the United States Navy’s elite fighter pilot made famous in the 1986 original. He’s a bit older than we last saw him in the upcoming film (officially titled Top Gun: Maverick), and this time around, it seems Maverick is still a high-flying captain. However, he’s also wrestling with new career responsibilities, a potential romance with Jennifer Connelly, new trainees (Glen Powell, Miles Teller), and more.
