Pop Smoke Posthumously Releases "AP" Music Video

Just recently, Billboard reported that Pop Smoke‘s posthumous debut album Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon is now the longest-running album leading the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart since 1990. The album has been in the No. 1 spot for the past 18 weeks tying with legendary artists Michael Jackson and Prince. With the release of the “AP” music video, it is evident that Pop Smoke’s legacy continues to transcend all expectations.

Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon currently holds the No. 1 spot on the Top Rap Albums chart, as well as No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The album has also spent 32 weeks in the top five of the 200 chart making Pop’s album the fourth one this century that has crossed this particular milestone.

“AP” appears as the official soundtrack for Eddie Huang‘s directorial debut, Boogie. The film is also the rapper’s acting debut, playing the role of Monk, a basketball rival to Taylor Takahashi’s Alfred “Boogie” Chin. Clips of Pop in Boogie and previous concert performance footages can be seen in the “AP” music video. Check it out above.
