Megan Thee Stallion Previews Sophomore Album ‘Traumazine’ With Ominous Teaser Video

Megan Thee Stallion confirmed that she had finished recording her sophomore album late last month. Now, the Houston rapper is offering fans a preview of what they can expect on the new record, entitled Traumazine.

Set to a simple piano track, the 20-second clip shows Megan wearing a black veil as she slowly approaches a casket, surrounded by ominous onlookers. Once she approaches, she places a single black rose on the coffin.

The video cuts to a woman walking away from the casket as it pours around her. It’s unclear if the mystery woman is Megan, as she wears a giant white hat that obscures her face.

The clip fades to reveal the album title, Traumazine. Last week, Megan posted the word’s definition, a “chemical released in the brain when it is forced to deal with painful emotions caused by traumatic events and experiences.”

“It took a lot of self reflecting to get to the point in my life where I am right now…” Megan wrote in the Instagram caption of promotional photos. “I ain’t saying I finally figured everything out or that I’m finally at peace, bc I’m not… buttt im excited for the hotties to get a better understanding of what’s happening in my head.” Last week, she dropped the definition for ‘traumazine,’ explained as the “chemical released in the brain when it is forced to deal with painful emotions caused by traumatic events and experiences.”
