Jonah Hill is lightening his real estate load by bidding adieu to his $11.1 million Malibu home. He initially tried to sell it for $15 million, and then $14 million, but the 38-year-old actor settled for a lesser price. Don’t feel sorry for The Wolf of Wall Street star, though, he still made a $2.1 million profit from his original purchase price. He’s taking that money and investing in a new Malibu residence closer to the beach.
The 3,653-square-foot modern structure was built in 1980 and boasts four bedrooms and four bathrooms on just under a quarter-acre. The home offers clean lines and a very minimalistic vibe, but it’s perfect for the owner who loves the less-is-more approach when it comes to design and decor. The living room feels like an art gallery with its built-in bookcases and open-air feel that leads up to the second story. However, it’s the outdoor space that really sells this property.
The backyard is a resort oasis with a lagoon-shaped pool, palm trees, and an entertainment area that is begging for a dinner party as soon as it warms up in Los Angeles (yes, winter is “cold” here). The three-story structure also has a rooftop deck for a glimpse — and we mean a small glimpse — of the Pacific Ocean. But hey, it’s something!
