'E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial' Is Depicted in Watercolors for Goodhood Capsule Collection

London-based imprint Goodhood has had many collaborations to date, but few have been as otherworldly as its latest one with E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.

In this capsule, Goodhood pays homage to Steven Spielberg’s 1982 classic with T-shirts in both long and short sleeve variants, a tote bag, and homeware items such as a cushion. Each piece features original artwork commissioned by Goodhood that reflects the nostalgia of the film, serving watercolor interpretations of iconic scenes from the film like when E.T. is riding in the basket of Elliot’s bike.

Speaking on the collaboration, Goodhood co-founders Jo Sindle and Kyle Stewart said, “[It’s] perhaps the most influential film of our youth. We grew up in the ’80s and our perceptions of the American lifestyle, the clothing and culture were shaped by many of the scenes in the movie. We are so happy to revisit the film through our lens as we saw it when we were kids.”

Alongside the aforementioned E.T. in the basket-themed T-shirt, you’ll find another with the scene of all the children riding their bikes, one with E.T. hiding underneath a cloak on the rear of a short sleeve, and a long sleeve that combines the basket scene with Goodhood’s branding along the sleeves in orange.

The cushion and tote bag are made from a soft off white cotton and feature a collage of watercolor prints all over them alongside the Goods by Goodhood label. Rounding out the collection is a mug once again featuring the bike basket scene and Goodhood branding in orange.

In other news, Andy Warhol’s legendary paintings have been reinterpreted for a Kosuke Kawamura x Uniqlo UT collaboration.
