For those worried that Advance Wars 1+2 is a bit expensive for a remake of two GBA games it’s already available at a sizeable discount.
Advance Wars may be one of our favourite franchises ever but it’s never been a big seller and as good as the remake of the first two games may be (and it is very good indeed) it was obvious it was never going to change that, especially as it costs £49.99.
For that you do get a mountain of content but at the end of the day very little of it is brand new and the graphics still mostly look like a Game Boy Advance game.
If that was putting you off a purchase then don’t worry as Argos is selling the game for just £39.99, even though it only just came out today.
We’re not sure if it’s a mistake of some kind, or how much stock they have, so if you are thinking of taking advantage of the deal it’s better to do so as soon as possible.
It is the physical edition of the game too, not a digital download, which Nintendo is probably not going to manufacture many of.
The deal is especially welcome as Nintendo themselves hardly ever discount their own games, outside of a few minor deals on Black Friday and other special occasions.
Argos has become an increasingly useful source of physical game sales in recent months and earlier in the week it was the only retailer to still have stock of the collector’s edition of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom, although they have run out now.
