Victoria Beckham has reportedly broken her no carbs rule in order to eat her husband David's "delicious golden dough balls".

The 46 year old, who recently twinned with her daughter Harper as they wore matching Spice Girls-style dresses, is said to have developed a liking towards pizza as her other half has been experimenting with different recipes.

David, 45, who has allegedly been nicknamed Goldenballs, started getting into cooking at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, when the UK went into lockdown and he was stuck at home.

A source has now revealed that the food he made was so good that Victoria caved and broke her 20-year-long no carbs rule to taste them.

"Victoria hasn’t touched a carb since 2001," the insider said. "But at the start of lockdown, David started experimenting with recipes — making the dough from scratch and trying various toppings.

"Victoria eventually relented and had a small slice. Things progressed and, basically, she couldn’t get enough of David’s delicious golden dough balls.”

However, the source added to The Sun Online that now summer has been and gone, the star is cracking back down on her diet.

They said: "Now that autumn is near, Victoria is back to clean eating, which means no cheesy bread."

Victoria previously shared the secrets behind her super healthy lifestyle, posting a series of photos on her Instagram a week after New Year.

In a recent interview with Harpers Bazaar she opened up about her body image and self-esteem admitting that it has taken her “a long, long time” to accept her own flaws.

The fashion icon said: "Do I think of myself as beautiful? No, absolutely not. But I make the best of what I have. I see my imperfections and flaws and I smile: it’s who I am and I’m not going to try to change that. It’s taken me a long, long time to recognise that by 45 years old, actually I’m all right."
