The Vamps and I’m A Celeb star James McVey marries model girlfriend in ‘best day of his life’

The Vamps star James McVey has announced that he has married his model girlfriend Kirstie Brittain.

I'm A Celebrity star James, 27, and gorgeous model Kirstie tied the knot on Saturday 30 October, after they were forced to postpone their nuptials.

James and Kirstie were due to wed in November last year, but had to push the date back due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Following his and Kirstie's big day, James announced the happy news on his Twitter and Instagram pages, sharing a series of snaps from their special day.

The images feature the newlyweds beaming widely as they walk down the steps of Lulworth Castle in Dorset while having confetti thrown over them by guests.

The snaps show off Kirstie's gorgeous bridal gown, which has a lace corset and off-the shoulder sleeves – made by bridal wear designer Victoria Sanders.

Kirstie's skirt has a number of sheer layers to it and is complete with a full-length vail.

Meanwhile, James wore a black three-piece shot with a white shirt and bow tie as he said "I do".

As James shared snaps from his big day, he couldn't help but gush over his wedding and new wife.

He wrote in the caption in one set of images: "I never believed the cliché ‘best day of your life’ thing, then it happened."

Meanwhile, Kirstie posted a snap of herself with her new husband and their beloved dog Moochie.

She wrote in the caption: "Everything I could ever ask for. 30/10/21" followed by a ring and white heart emoji.

The couple were then flooded with messages of congratulations from celebrity pals as Dr Alex George wrote: "Congratulations mate". And Giovanna Fletcher added: "Congratulations!!!!!! Xxxx"

While Emily Atack gushed: "Amazing xxxxxx" followed by a red heart emoji.

The couple were due to wed in 2020 but decided to postpone their nuptials due to the coronavirus restrictions that were in place at the time.

At the time, James told Metro: "It is meant for November, but the problem is that the government haven’t really set out any plans for how weddings can go back to normal.

"Thirty people can be at a reception, but have to be socially distanced.

"We have elderly relatives in Liverpool who would have to travel down to Dorset where we’re getting married. Kirstie and I are thinking it’s best to postpone it until Halloween next year."
