Olivia Munn Says Proof Is Important If You’re Going to Accuse the President of Sexual Assault

Olivia Munn poses for photos outside of The View‘s studio on Monday morning (June 24) in New York City.

The 38-year-old actress was on the show to promote her new series The Rook. Olivia has been a supporter of the #MeToo movement and she opened up about writer E. Jean Carroll‘s recent sexual assault accusation against President Trump.

While Olivia believes victims of sexual assault, she said proof is also important when making an accusation.

“I understand how hard things are when you have to prosecute,” Olivia said about Carroll‘s allegation. “But at this point when you are going to call out the president of the United States, you have to follow through.”

“If you are going to come out and publicly say that, then you will have to have some of that evidence that should be able to stand up in a court of law,” she added. “The system of the #MeToo movement is made so that people [can] be held accountable, and it’s not about just anybody using… because they want to or because they want to exact revenge, and we need to ask people for proof, and that’s the biggest thing is we need proof.”
