The presenter told fans it was now time to take a step back for the summer.

In view of his 1.1 million followers, he wrote: “Ta-ta for now. I’m about to start a Summer Social Sabbatical.

“I’ll be offline for a few weeks, instead focusing on family, relaxing, exercise, golf, time to think & watching the athletics.

“Any issues, the team @MoneySavingExp are still around. I wish you all a great summer.”

Many of his fans flocked to his post to comment.

One user wrote: “Enjoy your well deserved break Martin.”

A second commented: “Have a great summer, and thank you for all that you do. A truly well earned break.”

A third added: “Have a great holiday Martin you’ve definitely earned a good rest.”

Following the success of his financial career, the father-of-one secured a slot as a guest host on Good Morning Britain last month.

Martin fronted the show alongside Susanna Reid, following Piers Morgan’s departure in March.

“Unfortunately, I didn’t factor in her special power – those eyes.

“I’m helpless and usually resort to saying, ‘Ask mummy’ because mummy is stronger than me.

“We don’t splurge on her, but one of my greatest joys is making her happy.”
