Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall has shared that she is yet to meet her bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards’ babies, but does get regular photos from the pair.

The 28 year old singer congratulated both of her bandmates on social media as they gave birth just days apart in August.

Leigh-Anne welcomed twins in August with her fiance Andre Gray, while Perrie and her partner Alex Oslade-Chamberlain revealed they welcomed a baby boy – who they have named Axel – just five days after.

While the trio have remained best friends, Jade shared with Jimmy Hill on the Capital Evening Show that she is yet to meet the new bundles of joy.

She said: "I haven’t met the kids yet but I’m going to, I was giving them a bit of space because there's been a lot going on, bless them, so they needed a bit of time out.

"But we’ve been messaging each other every day and they’ve been sending pictures and all that stuff and it’s been really cute."

Jade also shared a hilarious story of when Leigh-Anne sent a “beautiful” snap of her twins, where Jade made the mistake of asking what was in the background.

She continued: "Leigh actually sent me a picture of the babies and I was like: 'What’s that on the side' and she was like: 'That’s s**t'.

"It was a really beautiful picture of them and then just like poo on the side. I was like: '…Oh, ok!'"

With the arrival of the new babies, the Little Mix stars have gone on maternity leave, causing their BBC show The Search to be postponed.

BBC boss Kate Phillips confirmed in a statement that they wouldn’t be returning for a second season next year as she said: “We're not bringing back Little Mix next year. I mean, the girls are all having babies at the minute.”

A month after the first season of the show ended, with rock band Since September winning the contest to join the girls on stage when they go back on tour, band member Jesy Nelson announced her departure from the group.

Jesy is embarking on her own solo career, but her debut has reportedly been postponed in order to get a P Diddy cameo in the music video.
