The Hello singer, who has kept his love life very private over the years, showed up on the red carpet with his leading lady as they posed for photos together. Soon after, Lionel graced the stage to host this year’s awards ceremony alongside his American Idol co-judges Katy Perry and Luke Bryan.
The 72-year-old looked incredible in an all-black ensemble with a pair of matching sleek shoes while Lisa stunned in a yellow floor-length gown.
She accessorised her outfit with a circular crystal ball bag, a gold bracelet and chandelier-shaped earrings to complete her look for the night.
Since Lionel and Lisa began dating in 2014, the pair have made only a handful of public appearances.
Lionel not only hosted but presented the first award of the night to singer Chris Stapleton, who ended up taking home the most trophies, including Album of the Year and Single of the Year, among his five prizes.
Other notable names who took home an award were Carly Pearce (Female Vocalist of the Year), Old Dominion (Vocal Group of the Year), and Jimmie Allen (New Artist of the Year).
Meanwhile, back in April 2019, Lionel gave a little insight into his relationship with Lisa, who he had been dating for five years at the time, in an interview with People.
“I’m a man who’s been through the ups and the downs, the ins and the outs of love,” the father of three shared.
“Love is not an exact science, it’s something you have to go through.
“People don’t walk in love, people fall, which means you’re out of control, there’s no logic. How you survive is your story.”
Lionel considers himself “a hopeless romantic,” who could very well see himself walking down the aisle again if things continue to go as well as they have between him and Lisa.
“At this time in my life when you can be so jaded about things, [my girlfriend] Lisa kind of makes everything feel a bit safe.”
“There’s always big plans,” he said regarding the idea of taking another trip down the aisle.
“Do I have an exact time on this? Oh, hell no. I don’t. But there is light at the end of the tunnel. I’m sure.”

Lionel was previously married to Brenda Harvey-Richie from 1975 to 1993, with whom he shares TV personality Nicole Richie.
He then married Diane Alexander in 1995.
The pair welcomed two children, Sofia and Miles Richie, before calling it quits in 1993.
Lionel remains in close contact with both of his ex-wives.
But if marriage is truly in his plans down the line, Lionel will have to find some free time from his hectic schedule first, having announced he’ll return to Las Vegas for yet another residency commencing in January 2022.
He’s also spent the last couple of months filming auditions for the fifth season of American Idol.
Lionel, Katy, and Luke were confirmed to be returning for the upcoming series, which is expected to premiere early next year.
The I Call It Love vocalist is currently earning $10 million per season while Katy and Luke earn $25 million and $12 million, respectively.
