Liam Payne ‘throws full support behind ex Cheryl’s plan to have second baby’

Liam Payne is supporting his ex Cheryl's plans to have a second child, a source close to the singer has claimed.

Cheryl already has two-year-old son Bear with Liam, who she split from in 2018, but recently revealed her hopes of having at least one more child by sperm donor.

36-year-old Cheryl told a reporter she felt time was running out to find the perfect man and she wasn't opposed to the idea of finding a donor from overseas.

After hearing the plans, Cheryl's ex Liam, 26, is said to have thrown his 'full support' behind the idea of Bear becoming a big brother.

An insider claimed the ex couple discussed the idea over Christmas.

"He gave Cheryl his full blessing – insisting he’d support her however he could and making her feel at ease with her decision by letting her know they’d be one big blended family," the source told New magazine.

They added: "Cheryl’s come to peace with the decision to find a sperm donor and she’s desperate to fall pregnant with twins – insisting that given she wants two more children, it will be far easier to do it once than go through the process again down the line."

Cheryl candidly opened up about her dreams of motherhood in an interview with The Times weekend back in December.

She said: "If time was on my side and I was in my 20s, I would wait and consider more options, or wait for somebody I felt was right.

“You could meet somebody and for that year it feels incredible, but there is never a guarantee because there are so many variables that can happen. Life is a funny old game."

Cheryl then explained that she would have to choose a donor from "out of town."

"You can get it from abroad," she said. "Do you imagine some guy from Newcastle saying, ‘That’s my child!’

"There’s a lot to choose from and a lot to think about," she said, adding the idea made her 'very happy.'

Her decision was met with disapproval from campaigners Fathers4Justice.

The group called the Girls Aloud star a 'sperm bandit' who 'doesn't give a toss about dads' in a furious tweet.

However, many other fans cheekily responded to Cheryl's interview to say they would happily father a child with her.

Cheryl was previously married to former England footballer Ashley Cole and French restaurateur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.
