Turns out Liam Gallagher is a fan of Love Island – who would have thunk it?
The Oasis rocker has shown his backing of Islander Ovie Soko following the drama that ensued on Tuesday night around Jordan Hames, Anna Vakili and India Reynolds.
Oh yes, we have another love triangle on our hands, after Jordan admitted his head was turning in the direction of India, who is currently partnered up with Ovie.
Despite asking Anna to be his girlfriend – his official, legit, actual girlfriend – only three days ago, he’s admitted feelings change. Not cool.
Anyway, it all kicked off last night and as Ovie quietly walked over and saved India from the arguing and yelling, he found a whole new legion of fans.
Including Liam Gallagher.
Taking to Twitter following last night’s episode, the singer simply wrote: ‘Ovie Ovie Ovie Oi Oi Oi LG x.’
Says it all, doesn’t it?
It immediately prompted his followers to call for him to be involved in the show next year, now knowing the lad is a fan of the ITV2 dating show.
‘Get in the villa next year Liam,’ one demanded, as another added: ‘If you were in love island Liam would you still wear a parka?’
Look, probably, yes. Seeing as he’d buy a new house rather than get rid of any of his famous jackets.
It comes after basketballer Ovie was praised for how he handled last night’s drama as it all kicked off in the Spanish villa.
As the other islanders started crowding around, with Maura and Amber Gill furiously defending their mate, Ovie saved India, calmly taking her by the hand, leading her away from the drama to sit with him at the firepit at the other end of the garden.
Once again the guy was the highlight of the show with fans praising his behaviour on Twitter.
‘Why is ovie just the sweetest lad ever? Proper gent! If India has anything about her she will cling onto him [sic],’ a tweet read.
Another happy fan tweeted: ‘The way Ovie took India from the situation ? he just gets better and better!’
‘Ovie taking his girl’s hand and walking her out of that situation, what a gent #loveisland crown him the winner please,’ came a further comment, echoing the feelings of a lot of viewers.
‘Ovie going and grabbing India to save her from the confrontation was the cutest thing, did anyone else notice that,’ one tweet read, while another comment said: ‘Ovie is a calm and collected king, Anna must be regretting her decision.’
Love Island returns 9pm on ITV2.
