Kim Kardashian rejected after pleas to attend official Platinum Jubilee party

Kim Kardashian has reportedly been turned away after putting in a request to attend the official Platinum Jubilee party over the weekend.

The celebrations marking Her Majesty's 70-year reign began on Thursday morning as she walked out onto the Buckingham Palace balcony, joined by many of her family members, including Prince William and Kate Middleton alongside their three children.

While Her Majesty, 96, will not be attending the thanksgiving service today, she is expected to make an appearance at the official party on Saturday 4 June.

And it appears The Kardashians star, 41, is keen to attend with her boyfriend Pete Davidson, 28 – but all hopes of this dream have reportedly been dashed as both Buckingham Palace and the BBC, who will televise the show, have rejected the request.

"Kim rarely gets turned down to attend any event, so this has been quite surprising, especially as she doesn't visit the UK often," a source told MailOnline. "Kim and Pete love the Royal Family and really wanted to be a part of this special celebration."

It is unclear whether Kim and Pete's visit to the UK was solely for the Jubilee celebrations.

Many celebrities will be in attendance at the party, with the likes of the Queen's friend Sir David Attenborough as well as David Beckham joining in on the festivities. Meanwhile Diana Ross, Alicia Keys, Hans Zimmer, Craig David and more will all be performing there as well.

The Queen appeared in good spirits at the Trooping of the Colour flypast yesterday as she had a massive smile plastered across her face while surrounded by family.

The Prince of Wales stood on the Queen’s right-hand side and the pair could be seen chatting and smiling ahead of the event. His wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, stood to his right.

As the aircraft approached during the Platinum Jubilee flypast, the Queen could be seen looking ahead and smiling.

Prince Louis waved towards the sky and could also be seen resting his chin in his hands, before adorably interacting with his great-grandmother.

He adorably stole the show, earning himself a small telling off from mum Kate after sucking his thumb, and hilariously covering his ears as some of the louder aircraft flew overhead.

Louis' siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince George, stood obediently in front of their parents.
