Aniston starred as the goofy and lovable Rachel Green on Friends through the 1990s and early 2000s. In the middle of Friends‘ run, Aniston became involved in a whirlwind romance with actor and Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt.
Pitt and Aniston got married in 2000, and for a while were considered one of the rare marriages in Hollywood that ended up working out. After Friends went off the air in 2004, however, their marriage was soon on the rocks.

In 2005, Aniston and Pitt filed for divorce. During their divorce proceedings, it was revealed that Pitt had been unfaithful with his Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie.
Aniston appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2005 in the middle of all this public drama and spoke candidly about what the divorce process was like while she was still going through it.
She seemed unfazed by what was happening to her, and told Winfrey that she was ready to get back into the dating pool. She also spoke about how she had been getting through it all personally.
Jennifer Aniston found peace after her divorce using yoga
Aniston recounted a story to Winfrey about an experience she had recently had that gave her immense clarity with regard to her failed marriage and life moving forward.
“The other day I was doing yoga with my girlfriend and we finished and we were sitting there just sort of stretching,” Aniston recalled. “I looked over at her and I said, ‘You know what? I have to say, I’m feeling a feeling I don’t know if I’ve ever actually felt before, and that is that I don’t want to be anywhere other than where I am, sitting across from you.’”
Aniston went on to explain what she meant when she said that. “That means I’m not sitting somewhere dwelling on the past or I’m not fretting or obsessing about something in the future,” she said. “It was a feeling of total peace.”
She explained to Winfrey that this a-ha moment wasn’t something that she had actively worked toward, but that her experiences came together to show her the answers at that moment.
“The truth is, you sit there going, ‘How do I do that?’ and you’re frustrated and then you get down on yourself because you’re not there yet, and then you just realize one day it’s happened. It’s collected in your cellular memory,” she said happily. “And then one day you’re sitting there with your friend doing yoga and you go, ‘Oh! I get it! I get it!’”
