Dwayne Johnson unveils breakfast of steak and 5 peanut butter jelly sandwiches

When Dwayne Johnson needs ‘extra carbs’ for training, it turns out he really goes all out.

The Red Notice actor gave us all a glimpse into his wild breakfast over the weekend – but it wasn’t the idyllic Hawaiian sunrise that we were intrigued by.

Taking to Instagram, the 49-year-old showed off his breakfast plate, making us hugely hungry in the process.

In the snap, the Rock showed off his eggs, steak, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, placed beside a bowl of oatmeal, washing it down with a can of his Zoa energy drink.

‘Had to share this 6am Sunday morning Hawaiian sunrise with ya [sic],’ he began. ‘Power + energy breakfast before training.

‘Sirloin + egg whites only. Oatmeal + papaya. English muffins + peanut butter & jelly, trop Punch @zoaenergy.

‘Training legs (have mercy) this morning so I need the extra carbs, fats & a little sugar to optimize my workout. Can’t tell you how anchoring and mindful these quiet moments are of island ocean sunrises have been for me.

‘Given me amazing clarity in life, business etc. Mana is powerful,’ he added. ‘Enjoy your Sunday & CHEAT MEALS!!! #FindYourAnchor.’

Dwayne is set to hit the big screen very soon in his next project, as superhero Black Adam.

Black Adam is set to be released on October 21, and marks his first outing as a superhero, alongside Pierce Brosnan, Noah Centineo and Sarah Shahi.

He previously detailed his routine while preparing for the blockbuster, unveiling his strict diet ahead of filming.

In a post shared on social media, the Fast and Furious favorite told fans: ‘One month away from shooting #blackadam so the diet is very strict and all food is weighed & measured.

‘This prep has been a long one (since 2020), but all the pieces are coming together, and as always, I’m staying flexible to any changes and pivots that need to happen along the way.

‘Script, production, strength & conditioning, diet etc etc. Enjoy the weekend with your families and remember, diet is the key.’
