Delta Goodrem and Candice Warner tease their Melbourne Cup outfits

Bow-tiful! Delta Goodrem steals the show at the Melbourne Cup in a unique jumpsuit while Candice Warner and Sarah Harris are ladies in red as stars are FINALLY able to celebrate the race that stops the nation

Delta Goodrem stole the show at the 2021 Melbourne Cup on Tuesday, turning heads as she walked through the star-studded Birdcage at Flemington racecourse in a unique green playsuit with a giant pink bow fastened at the waist. 

The Born To Try songstress looked absolutely breathtaking in the colourful ensemble which she teamed with a  bright pink wide-brimmed hat and pale pink strappy stilettos.  

The singer, 36, beamed as she greeted other celebrities, who were thrilled to finally be able to celebrate the race that stops the nation following months of lockdown.

Meanwhile, Love Island star-turned-WAG Tayla Damir turned heads in a backless animal print frock. 

The brunette, who is engaged to AFL star Nathan Broad, had a gold crown placed in her hair. 

She also went for gold for her accessories – dainty strappy sandals and a box clutch.  

Meanwhile, Michelle Payne ditched the riding boots for a pair of high heels as she attended the world famous event at Flemington Racecourse on Tuesday.

The 36-year-old turned heads in a eighties-style mint green backless peplum dress and a tinsel-themed fascinator as she posed next to the race track.

She teamed the skin-baring bubble frock with strappy green stilettos and a big smile.  

Meanwhile, Jessica Rowe, 51, opted for a ‘homemade’ outfit, which consisted of a hat designed to look like an egg.

The famed TV journalist also donned a figure-hugging white cocktail dress as she prepared to celebrate the Melbourne Cup at home in Sydney.

Candice Warner, 36, looked elegant in a red one-shoulder figure-hugging cocktail dress with a single short ruffle sleeve.

The former ironwoman and cricket WAG accessorised with a matching wide-brim red hat, and donned strappy gold stilettos.

Sharing a series of photos of herself on Instagram on Tuesday, Candice revealed that while she wouldn’t be in Melbourne for the race, she’d still be celebrating.

‘While I’m not at @FlemingtonVRC this year, I’m excited to be bringing a touch of the Melbourne Cup Carnival to Sydney today! Tune in on @channel10au for all the action.’ 

Turning out early at Flemington Racecourse were media personalities including Sarah Harris, Angela Bishop and Rob Mills.

Like Candice, Sarah, 40, also opted for red, stepping out in a figure-skimming red dress, which sat off one shoulder.

The Studio 10 host rounded out her chic ensemble with a pair of strappy gold stilettos and a red geometric headpiece. 

Sarah’s Studio 10 colleague Angela, 54, donned a colourful floral-print mini-dress with ruffle detailing.

The entertainment reporter also wore nude-coloured pointy-toe stilettos and an ornate gold headpiece. 

Rob looked smart in a light brown three-piece suit, which he teamed with glasses, a blue floral tie and dark brown loafers.

The 39-year-old singer and actor happily posed for photos ahead of the event alongside Channel 10 weather presenter Kate Fairbairn, who looked lovely in lilac.
