Danniella Westbrook ‘out of ICU and discussing options after sinus infection'

Danniella Westbrook is said to be out of the intensive care unit and speaking to doctors after being hospitalised, according to claims.

On Saturday it was reported that the former EastEnders actress, 47, was rushed to hospital following a sinus infection with fears the illness could spread to her brain.

Fresh updates suggest that Danniella is now out of ICU and considering surgery options to prevent a repeat trip further down the line.

‘She is being seen by a specialist over the next few days to discuss options and surgery to stop this from happening again,’ an insider said.

‘We hope she can be well soon and out of hospital very soon, [especially] as it’s her birthday next week, she’s a fighter, that’s for sure.’

Danniella is said to be seeing a palliative specialist in order to avoid any further complications with the infection.

The source added to The Daily Star that the infection had ‘spread so quickly, she’s deteriorated very quickly.’

Danniella’s trip to hospital came after she posted about relapsing in her battle with drug addiction, where she said she is seeking help once more.

She told her followers: ‘Ok so here goes …. HONESTY POST. Ok so it’s no secret since leaving rehab I’ve slipped and slides more than I have been straight I guess.

‘But today I’ve joined a new gym restarted my herbal life and going back to the rooms tonight. I’m done with the drinking the occasional packet and night out I’m totally over it.

‘I know the best years of my whole adult life was the 14 years I spent clean and sober . So today’s the day I go back, own my s**t, pick up the newcomers ring with pride not shame.’

Danniella vowed to kick the drink and drugs for good again, adding: ‘I’m all in, sick and tired of being sick and tired and feeling shame and a fraud when people tell me I’m doing well. I’ve done better this time round but I’m done I’m so bl**dy bored of it all.

‘So today I’m saying Hello I’m Danniella and I’m a recovering drug addict. I’m ready to re work every step, I’m excited to be off service and do what I’m called to giving back to others seeking a solution thanks o this three fold illness if alcoholism and addiction.’

She admitted she hadn’t reached a ‘rock bottom’ this time around but explained: ‘I was meant for more than this and this last few years f**king about has show me, that cocaine and champagne ain’t got the high I want.

‘I want a natural buzz a natural high from life from opportunities  so it’s with head held high I say today is the day I go back to the welcoming most exclusive bunch of people I’ve had the pleasure of being around … my CA Na Aa family.’
